Another question: Triton 7s vs. Supersats for the rear speakers? They seem to be about the same price.

Thought...T1's > SC XL > T2's (surrounds)
Or
T2's > SC XL > T2's
And
If Atmos is a thought, how about buying a receiver and supercharging with an Emotiva, Parasound, etc. 5 channel amp.
If
Wall mount surrounds are your preference, any of the SS's will work. Also, the Aon's (2 or 3'S) work well...I use the Aon 3's.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Hey DrSchteeve,
You had a great start, great idea, Triton Ones in the front and Triton 7s in the rear. Stay with that.
Just my opinion but I think the 7s are WAY better than the SuperSats.
Seems like you are getting lots of suggestions, so I hope you can audition some of this equipment and make your own decision.
And enjoy the ride,
God Bless,
Wayne

Caution: Newbie opinion only.

If your strictly thinking sound quality, the T7s will most likely give you the best sound as they are a floor standing speaker that have passive sub-bass rads (a floor of 35Hz) in them that will allow for a fuller room sound. Also, the design of the T7 was focused on sound quality without the space constraints that the SuperSats 50/60s (A floor of 50Hz) were.

So, if you have a spacing issues, the SuperSats are a better option, but you'll sacrifice a little depth. If space isn't an issue, the clear choice is the T7s.
Current System:

Projector - Sony VPL-HW55ES
AVR - Onkyo TX-NR838
Fronts - Triton 2s
Center - SuperCenterXL
Surrounds - SuperSat 3s

Ask me about espresso, I'm an expert at that... I'm just learning about audio!
