In my room, a 100 Hz crossover sounds the best with my existing speakers (Paradigm Monitor 7's). Typically, as I lower the crossover setting, to say 40 Hz, I seem to lose a few spl's...

So, my question is this - If you are going to use an 80 hz or 100 hz crossover setting, is a SuperCenter necessary? Seems the upper midrange and ribbon tweeter would be identical in either the SC or the SS 60C.

P.S. I'm trying to decide between a SuperCenter or a SuperSat 60 for the center channel.

Current setup:

Paradigm Monitor 7s for left and right
Paradigm CC390 center
Paradigm adp surrounds
HSU vtf 15h
Marantz 6007
Oppo 103

Nice gear. A 100Hz crossover is fine with either SuperCenter, if your receiver supports different settings for each you could select 80Hz, or 60Hz, for the SuperCenter and keep 100Hz for your L/R mains, as you prefer. The SuperSat can be crossed over at 100Hz, although most prefer 120Hz. Subwoofer location can become an issue with crossovers above 80Hz (SuperSat centers are best with a stereo-powered-sub Triton Two or Three system as mains).

Thanks. I forgot to mention in the post that I am buying the Triton Two's in a couple of weeks. Given that fact, do you recommend the SuperCenter X/XL or the SuperSat 60?

Both, whatever fits your space and setup. They are both basically the same performance with the appropriate crossover settings.
