I'm certain that this is not a new topic but I'm new the to forum and to GoldenEar speakers so, I apologize for asking what has probably been covered 100 times before.

I've started toying with power cord swapping on my new Triton 2+ and was wonder what results others have had. My first attempt wasn't that thrilling.

My amp is line magnetic 518ia and my source is NAD streaming media player/Auralic DAC. Interconnects and speaker cables are AQ Big Sur and rocket 33. Amp power is AQ Hurricane into Shunyata conditioner.

Thanks in advance for you experienced input.

Hey Travis...and WELCOME!

There's a 81 page thread titled "Power Cords" started by Rick over 3 years ago. Check it out, some pretty interesting stuff is discussed.

As to after market PC's on the Powered Tritons, there are some sonic benefits, but not a whole lot. I'm using Shunyata Venom 3's ($125.00) with very good results. I've tried more expensive PC's, but didn't really hear much difference, so decided to stay with the Shunyata Venom 3's.

If you do decide to experiment, i wouldn't spend a whole alot...maybe $100 - $200 a pc. The biggest sonic benefits will come with different PC's on your source player (blu-ray, cd, dac) Amps and Preamps also benefit, but to a lesser degree than source players.

Hope this helps

Every great performance deserves an Audience!
