Getting ready to install and am following the "tweeter at approximate height of listener ears" approach which results in the speaker quite low on the wall (at least compared to visuals and other installs. Given that the listener is seated in a typical low slung couch this indicates the bottom of the speaker approx three feet off the ground.

Does this sound right?

Hi, Acts

Haven't heard the SPS's, but most other GEt speakers.

Yes, having the tweeter (the most directional speaker) at ear height makes sense.

Given that the other frequencies are less directional, I think you're on the right track with positioning as long as the tweeter aligns with most listening positions.

Have fun! You're gonna' love those GEt's!

Ideally, you'd want the SPS tweeters about 40" up from the floor (all our towers' tweeters are roughly that height) but that probably does not look as attractive as higher up on the wall. The SPS' dispersion is quite good and if you're a reasonable distance from the front speakers they will sound great up higher, pretty much where most folks would position them.
