Murphy,
Good question. As always, it's probably a matter of personal preference and resources. I'm sure you know the sound will be more cohesive with the same drivers throughout your system which means the GETs will likely sound better but with the significant cost savings and limited amount of overhead sound, a compromise might not be out of the question.
When shopping to replace my previous speakers for my theater, I knew that I wanted to implement Atmos. GET seemed to put a lot of effort into offering a very wide variety of speakers, all with very similar drivers. This seemed to allow for a great deal of flexibility for an Atmos system. If it were me, I'd save up and go for the GETs but that's just my preference. I don't think anyone here would fault you for going with the less expensive option. Sounds like you can get a good discount and I'm sure it will sound great either way. Let us know what you decide and how it all sounds, please. Pictures would be nice too. I'd like to see a few home installations to get some ideas.
Cheers,
T Cobe
