Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to pair up the Sonos Connect Amp and the Invisa series? I am personally thinking of purchasing a pair of Invisa 650 (as in-ceilings) and to power them with the Sonos. Would be great to know if the Sonos has enough power for them, and if on the audio quality side if it's a good match.

I have to say am pretty surprised there was NOTHING on the internet discussing this...

Hey Twinturbo 11,
I don't know why I am responding to your question, as I have NO idea how to answer. Just wanted to wish you all the best and ask that you let us know when and IF you get the Invisa 650s and what you pair them with?
I had never heard of the Sonos (any Sonos) Connect Amp, so had to look it up. I would guess that is why there in not much on the net about it, nobody has heard of it. Certainly did not look like my cuppa tea, but what do I know?
Just wishing you all the best and hope you enjoy your search.
And enjoy the music,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi twinturbo11 ... hope that's a car reference. GTR maybe? :)

Yes, GoldenEar used a Sonos Connect Amp (60 watt?) in one of our CES trade show demo rooms a couple years ago, showing how easy it was to have distributed audio with the popular Sonos system AND great fidelity. It was hooked up to a pair of our Aon 3s, drove them quite nicely, particularly for non-critical listening, which seems perfect for distributed audio through in-ceiling Invisa speakers.

Yes. And the assumption is distributed audio is background music, so certainly no issue.
