Have not seen much feedback on the Invisa HTR 7000. I will be in a new house in March which has in ceiling prewire for L, C, R SL, & SR. Was thinking of doing all HTR7000 for now, WAF and kid factor, and then later add triton towers for L & R, and super center xl. I was thinking that I could then use the in ceiling L & R for front height channels down the road. Has anyone used the HTR 7000 in a front height application?

Or am I wasting the in ceiling and should just go for the towers and super center? Open living area.

Thanks

Sounds exciting to me!!!! Especially to add them as height channels later when you get towers!
Enjoy, this is fun,

HTR 7000's for future height channels may not be the best choice since they project sound forward, not down. Perfect for primary L/C/R applications, GoldenEar setup a system like that for our trade show last fall - press was blown away. Here's one link: GoldenEar Technology Demos Best Speakers You're Not Supposed to See

Our Invisa 650 is the better choice for the height application in an in-ceiling speaker.

I should probably have included that this was just my opinion, there are people using HTR 7000's for height channels very effectively. I just happen to prefer this information come down from above. Some like it directed at them from above instead, and some prefer it be used to produce a more diffuse sound for that channel (by pointing the HTR 7000 towards the corner behind it to reflect the sound and create a diffuse sound field). All of these are "right", all are good choices if it works in the particular room setup to produce the desired sonic result.
