I am currently running 7.2 with (2) Triton 2s, center XL and (4) Invisa 650 with dual Seaton Submersives. I was considering upgrading two of my 650's for two 7000 for my sides. I would keep two of the 650 as my surrounds. Has anybody heard both and how much of an upgrade would it be. Does the technology in the 7000 make a huge difference? Thanks new to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. The HTR 7000 is a slightly different animal. It has a larger woofer so it will handle more power, but most importantly it in a fixed 30 degree geometry designed to project the sound so that it does not appear to be coming from the ceiling. The Invisa 650, although great for in-ceiling surround use, will localize from above. There was some good press on the HTR 7000 from our CEDIA demonstration, which has been posted in the news section of the website.

Thanks a bunch and that makes great sense if there isn't a new in ceiling announcement at CES then I'll place my order next week.

You bet. No new in-wall product is planned for introduction.

I think I've made up my mind and I am going to swap out all 4 of my 650's for the 7000. I think this will provide a better all around sound especially since I'm going to upgrade my Triton 2s for the newly announce Triton 1s.
