I'm trying to use it with my pair of Triton 2+ and I'm stumped by its 180 degree out of phase left channel output. On stand alone stereo sub's you would just flip the phase switch on one sub to have them both in the same phase but that's not an option for the Triton's. DSPeakers suggestion is to use a "Y" connector on one channel of the output and send a mono signal to both speakers. I'm not happy with that solution. Is there a way I could wire a RCA cable so the L & R sides were out of phase?

I have no idea why that would be, but, you could reverse the leads on one of the RCA plugs to achieve out of phase on one channel.

Here's the reply I just received from DSPeaker to my questions;

What is the reason for out the L & R outputs being out of phase? I would like the output going to my Golden Ear Triton 2+ to be a stereo signal.

Anti-Mode 8033 process the signals in mono. You can connect two signals (L & R stereo) and they are summed before processing. The outputs are in-phase and 180-degree phase - this can be used to create a true balanced output - i.e. to convert the 2x RCA to balanced XLR.

The low frequencies are omni-directional, and predominantly mixed in mono. You get the best result when the low frequencies are reproduced and corrected in mono, no matter how many subs are reproducing the signal. When measured and corrected as one, the dips in the response of one sub in the room are automatically "filled in" by the response of another sub(s) in the room.

If I calibrated it with Y connector (mono) and then when done hooked back up in "stereo" would that work?

No, you need to calibrate exactly the as the setup that you will be using.

Not sure if I like "losing" the stereo signal but I'll test it for awhile and see if I'm happy with the results.

Other info;
I'm connecting the Antimode to the "LFE" inputs on my Tritons. They said that the Anti-Mode 8033 units have about 3dB of gain from input to output so you need to dial down the subwoofer level accordingly.

Hi,

I use it for around 4 years in my Tritons 3 with the Y connector, with good results - bass response, and general dinamics improved a lot.
Took care to choose a good Y connector (www.musicdirect.com/connector-upgrades/a...1x-male-to-2x-female).
A remote for filter modes selection on AM 8033SII would be the cherry on top. Or maybe on day GoldenEar decides to incorporate a DSP, who knows?
