I’m trying to determine which Triton model, the Reference, the 1 or 2 fits my situation. I would like to know how much clearance from a wall or cabinet is needed on each side of the speaker as to not interfer with the Quadratic Planar Infrasonic Radiators performance? I have 17” between my entertainment center and the side wall and 28” deep to place the speakers. I would love to be able to fit the Reference speakers into this space but unsure because of the 9-1/4” width would only leave 3” clearance on each side of the radiators, maybe less since they will be toed in a little. I do not like boomy bass. My other thought is that it shouldn’t be a problem since my down firing rear ported SVS sub’s speaker is on 2” from the floor. Or is this an issue that room correction, Anthem ARC could solve? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

As long as there is a few inches to the sides, it is not an issue. Keep in mind that whenever you "load" the speaker into a corner bass frequencies will be emphasized. The nice thing about the powered Tritons is you can address this directly on the speaker with their bass level control, rather than trying to "correct" using a room EQ system (or at least you can get them a lot closer to right before running the room EQ).

The subwoofer on the floor is not really comparable, typically down firing subs are using the floor as a boundary to achieve additional gain and to control higher frequency radiation. This design was much more prevalent a couple decades ago and when power amplifiers were more limited and DSP filtering didn't yet exist for home audio components.

You will be fine. Notice how close my left Triton Reference is to the TV, about a foot from it.
