Yes, Anthem is exactly correct. You mentioned your equipment (nice!), but not your setup. A quick "should" list for placement:

1) As far apart as possible in the room - close spacing is absolutely a mistake.
2) Toed-in to aim at the center listening position.
3) At least 18" from side and rear walls, if possible.

The speakers are 8ft apart
Toed-in at about 15 degrees
20" from side wall's

It could be they are not toed-in enough
will have to experiment with them tonight.

Yikes, how close are you sitting to the speakers? 8ft or less I hope. Otherwise this is a bad setup, too close together for best results. I would suggest scooting them all the way over to the side walls (maybe as close as 6") and then toe them in so they point at the center position. Give that a listen.

I'm sitting 10 ft from the speakers.
My sitting postion can't go back anymore.
I do have the room to move them another 12 to 18" apart.

Try that. You may also try moving just a bit closer, especially if your listening position is against a back wall. Your goal is for the speakers to be as wide apart as you are from their center line. If you sit ten feet away, they should be ten feet apart.

Thanks for the advice. I will go with the 9ft apart and 9ft center. I'll let you know this works out.
