Hi Roman, you pose an interesting question. I did not read that it was this amp that Sandy uses, I thought it was a bigger one from Decware. But I have heard the Aon 3s with the lovely, small tubed Unison Simply Italy with 12 wpc and it sounded great.
Did you try this amp with the Aon 3s?
That would be a little low power it seems to me, but I would love to hear if someone auditions them together.
God Bless,
Wayne

No. I have not heard the Aons with anything but the Anthem Head unit they have at the local store. I have a lot to learn and would love to (over time) build a listening system with Tube Amps and get the most out of the GoldenEar products we have been blessed with. :)

Roman,

There are some really good solid state options as well. I auditioned the T1s and T2s on a Hegel (H80 or H160?) and the sound was astounding. I was told it was very "tube like" in sound. I'm not experienced enough to confirm that yet, but I can say that the audible difference between the T1s and T2s were more audible than I had previously experienced with other high end amps.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Uncle Moderator...you never got back to us, as to which Decware amp Sandy is currently listening to. Let us know...don't be bashful.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Sorry - can't keep track of what comes and goes in Sandy's systems, but I believe he used to drive his Triton Twos with the Decware model SE84C+.

I think he currently uses the big Line Magnetic, not certain of model but I believe it is the 219IA: www.toneimports.com/lmaudio/219ia.html
