Hi all; I have a question I am hoping to get a quick answer for before I pull the trigger on a used Goldenear system.

Can the FF4 sub be used with the hi AND low input simultaneously, ala my awesome REL sub? This is important as I would like to use as little processing as possible for stereo signals and have smaller monitors.

Please let me know asap knowledgeable peeps! And thanks

Sorry Jasong,
You got me there. I have no idea IF you could, nor WHY you would?????
I hope you find what you are looking for.
I don't think you can beat GoldenEar, at least I can't.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hey Wayne; i have grown accustomed to the awesome musicality of the REL in that it allows my smaller mains to function as full sized large speakers by using this system, and not having to further process two channel audio. It acts seamlessly and when I switch to 5.1 and/or movie signals, it uses the other signal.

That is "all" but like I said I have been accustomed to it.

I have an opportunity to (possibly?) upgrade the rest of my system to Goldenear and the FF sub can come with it.. otherwise I may just snag the speakers.

Thanks!

Hi Jasong,
Thanks for the explanation. I get it now and before I was totally reading you wrong.
I "thought" you were somehow trying to play the sub with both inputs at the same time.
I believe I see now that you just want to hook up the wires to the FF sub two different ways and play one or the other.
I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure that would be no problem at all. Almost sure you can do that.
I also understand how a good sub could really make your system sing.
I believe you will be very happy with the GoldenEars, and I hope you get the FF sub too.
Happy system building and listening,
God Bless,
Wayne
