What type A/B amp spec would you recommend for a 14' x 20' room with a 10 foot high ceiling to make the T Ref sing...?

150 Watts...?
200 Watts...?
300 Watts...?
350 Watts...?

new24k, any of those would work and work well, IMHO.
For me, I would go with any above the 150, ie 200 or more. But I like power and BASS and figure you can almost not have too much of a good thing.
Can I ask what you are using for your front end? I forget if you mentioned it in another thread.
But you have FANTASTIC speakers, and with a great amp, it is WHAT you are playing that makes the most difference.
Garbage in garbage out.
So feed those babies the best, cleanest, highest resolution signal you can through a good processor or preamp/amp combo and surely the music will be awesome!!!!
Sorry, you probably already know all this stuff.
Have fun with it, happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Thanks!

I don't have the T Refs yet - looking to put together the "best" possible system for me.

Looking at the Marantz 8805 pre/pro with the matching Marantz MM8077 (150 watt) amp.

That is why the question - I fear the Marantz MM8077 @ 150 watts won't do the T Refs justice...

Also considering the Rotel RSP-1582 pre/pro with Rotel amp (200watts x 2, or 350 watts x 2).

Using the setup for 70% music and 30% movies in a 7."2".4 set up.

Thanks for the explanation new24k.
That helps.
I have gotta say I like Marantz a LOT. I think that among the usual suspects, they are probably the best. And a REAL 150 wpc would be plenty!!!
BUT Rotel would be right up there, perhaps even better, and a little more power would not hurt.
I don't think you could lose with either one. And there are a lot of others which would work as well.
I use the Emotiva XMC-1 out to Vincent hybrid tube/transistor amps. But I do not have or feel any need for ATMOS.
Have fun putting a great system together.
God Bless,
Wayne

WOW Nozy,
You are making me droool here!!!! That is a beautiful amp, I would LOVE to hear it!!!! It has KT120 tubes, right? That should be enough power, even with your pretty large room. Tube watts just play louder than ss watts IMHO. That is not the scientific way to say it.
I forget, what speakers are you playing through?
Glad you are enjoying your system, pls don't be a stranger here, we would love to hear more.
God Bless,
Wayne
