Hi Rick,

Since we moved to Raleigh in 2019, I have experimented with a number of setup variations in my new digs. The only equipment change I have made during this time period has been to trade in my Cambridge 851A Stereo Amplifier for an ARCAM AVR10 Receiver (also a Cambridge product). After a lot of experimenting, I decided that simpler was better, so I removed other amps and receivers from my music setup. I am driving all my speakers with the ARCAM as I described in my previous post.

All of my music is stored in a dedicated PC external HD in the form of FLAC files of various levels, mostly CD-Quality. I use a program called MusiCHI Suite to manage and play the files via an HDMI connection to the ARCAM. The PC has been stripped of all unnecessary programs. I am very pleased with this setup and I am not currently contemplating any changes.
