Hi All!

I have a set of Triton 5s and a SuperCenterXL. I just noticed today that there is much less sound coming out of the right driver of the XL than there is on the left driver. Is this normal? I assume the one on the left is a midrange driver while the right one is a bass driver even though the drivers look in the pictures to be identical? Never noticed this before and wanted to be sure nothing was wrong before I look into getting the XL fixed. Can someone confirm this is correct?

Thanks
Doug

Doug,

Welcome to the forum! That's a good question that I don't recall coming up here. That's probably one for Moderator Dude. I have the SCXL and have not noticed what you're describing.

Cheers,

They should be the same, better take it to your dealer to inspect.

Thanks for the info. I took it in to be looked at. I always thought the center sounded a little thin. Guess this may be why.

kingd7,

Please let us know what you find out and how things sound once you have everything back up and running.

Turns out the driver on the right was bad. Goldenear is sending a new driver to replace the defective one. I thought the center sounded a little thin but just thought it was a new/different type of sound than I was used to. Anxious to get it back repaired so I can hear what the XL really sounds like!
