Aloha; we have Triton Two towers (and center Sat)

Lately the Triton speaker will on occasion put out LOUD thunder type sound.

The Tritons are wired to a Prima Luna integrated tube amp and the power is off.

AMP is off, speakers still plugged in, and thunder type sounds coming from the Trition..

Any thoughts on what this could be and how to stop it?

Steve

Hi ssientile,
Sorry to hear about your noises, assuming there was not a thunderstorm going on or a volcanic eruption, sounds like trouble.
I know you are waiting for the Moderator Dude to answer definitively, so I am just commiserating with you here. Hate to see a brother left out to dry.
Is the sound coming from BOTH speakers? Or just one? I think that would be good to know. Can you narrow down the problem?
Hoping you find out a good answer soon.
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi ssientile,

Sorry to hear your speaker is acting up. Have you tried unplugging it from the wall and source and let it sit for 15-20 minutes or so before reconnecting? Sometimes that does the trick, as it lets the amp reset. If not, are there any devices that generate RF (cell phones, modems, routers, etc.) newly placed near the speaker? They may need to be moved, if so.

If these possible solutions don't help, it's best to contact the dealer you purchased them from to facilitate repair.

Again, sorry to hear you're having a problem. I'm sure it will get sorted out soon.
