How much does line voltage drop effect power output. When I get up in volume Im at 117-117.6 volts when I back the power off Im at 120-120.4 volts. Amps dont seem to be close to out of power but I back off for fear of power starvation. Can I push it to 115 volts? Or should I add another circuit? Thanks in advance.

Hi Outlaw#9, welcome here!!!!
You are fine, no problem!
Your voltage, I am guessing you are in America? is normally called 110/120 VAC. So you are well within tolerances.
Mine over here in Thailand is MUCH more variable than yours. It is supposed to be 220 VAC, but my power conditioner shows what comes in and what it provides to my system (a steady 220). It varies from 209 to 239.
BUT that is why I use a power conditioner. Do you? It is probably a good idea, but sounds like you might already we using one, otherwise I am not sure where you are getting your readings?
Rest assured there is no audible difference that I can hear.

I was pulling readings out the outlet. I dont use any type of power conditioner as I have been told it takes away from Bass. Yes I am in the US and the power is very consistent where I am at. Just suprised to see that much of a drop on a 20amp circuit. If I pull a 10awg power cable it probably won’t drop at all, the pipe is a little too small.

Hey Outlaw#9, I feel sure you are talking about negligible amounts of power drop here.
BUT
I was told the same thing you were about power conditioners, not true in my home theater. I too have a 20 amp circuit, two of them in fact for my home theater, but I use the power conditioner on one (well mostly to prevent surges, I had a ribbon burn out on a Apogee speaker back in the day, what a PITA!) to assure a constant supply, or as near as I can get to my system. The bass is there because there is ALWAYS 220 V ready and willing to go to play it.
And my power cables look like big water hoses.

Hello Outlaw#9 and welcome to the forum.

There may be some confusion within this thread regarding "power conditioning" versus "power regulation". Conditioning in no way will or is meant to provide constant voltage. Regulation on the other hand is. Typically, power regulation costs more to implement. Personally, I do not use or have the need for power regulation, but I do employ a bit of conditioning.

Within the scope of one of the conditioners I use, a Panama MR4300, it has a digital voltage meter on the front panel. The voltage display is very accurate. I live in Freeport Long Island, known to have among the best power in the entire country (US). In fact Freeport has its own generators. Anyway, even here the voltage does fluctuate. Typically the voltage is 119 volts. However, it has been as high as 124 and as low as 109. *BUT* that is completely irrespective of amplifier volume. Regardless of my raising or lowering the volume, it does not affect the voltage, amplifier sonics, speaker performance, etc.

Most electronic equipment has a wide enough range of voltage it can safely operate within. But you are stating that when you raise your amplifier volume the voltage is dropping. That seems a bit odd. What should happen, as far as I know, is that the voltage remains constant but the *amperage* draw is increased as you raise volume. Perhaps you should double check your measurements and/or the way you are reading them.

That said, while your Triton One's power requirement as indicated in the manual is 120V, I can tell you from first hand and personal experience they will not complain at 115 volts. :)

Thanks for your response, I would assume as voltage drops amperage draw is also up. I don't notice a loss in sound quality. I will with confidence drive it to the limit. I assume I'm not even getting close to the 380 plus RMS watts I can deliver to the T1. I don't expect to get there either just want awesome sound at concert like volume at times... thank you for your responses.
