Hi Wayne,

After some research yesterday, I am becoming more interested in purchasing a separate integrated amp. I am strongly considering a Cambridge Audio Azur 851A. There are a number of reason behind my consideration of this particular unit.

Right now, I am experimenting with the setup I would need to implement in order to add an integrated amp. I am using one of my older Sony units to simulate the presence of the Cambridge unit. This simulation allows me to implement and evaluate the cabling and speaker layout changes I would need to make. So far, so good.

I sent you a PM about my interest in the Cambridge unit. Do you have an opinion about this particular unit?

Best,

Art

Hi Art, thanks.
Did you get my PM reply????
PMs have been going to my SPAM box, I don't know why. So I have not been seeing them.
I think the CA Azur would work wonderfully well, for sure you can integrate it easily. And the best thing, if you listen and are not impressed, then send it back!!!!!
You can't beat a deal like that!!!
Was thinking about you last night when I was watching/listening to the Verdi Requiem. The tenor on this one was awesome!!!! Will report on it over on the Do you like to watch thread.
Happy listening.
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

The Verdi Requiem is one of may favorite works. I am currently participating in choral rehearsals to perform that work on April 1. I have sung it twice before, but it has been about 10 years since I last sang it.

Hi Rick,

I've been singing in choral groups since the early 1990s. I have always listened to classical music and, when I was living in Wisconsin, I had an opportunity to try out for a community chorus. To my delight and surprise, I was accepted - probably because of the always chronic shortage of tenors. Anyway, I worked at it and I have continued to sing in various choral settings ever since. I have had some truly wonderful experiences and I have met some really terrific people over these many years.

Making music with a group of people is unlike anything else I have ever done and is a really special part of my life.

For the Verdi, I will be singing with a very large group of people and performing with a full symphony orchestra. There will be many people with far more musical ability than I have, but nobody will be having any more fun than I will be having.

Best,

Art
