I had the same Avatar issue several months ago...it took a couple of weeks to change. Eventually it did change.

OK, I see it now in "due time"!!!!!
At 11:45 pm of 6 Feb. SB Sunday, I finally can see the avatar I chose a few days ago, or was it just day before yesterday? I forgets.
But it did come, thanks Moderator Dude. I still think you did something.
Anyway, there are LOTS more important things in this world than a sucky avatar.
