Ok then,
I bought this one on the Amazon because I wanted it in hybrid SACD, where I could get a 2 channel copy for my DAP for exercise, but have the surround sound version for my home theater.
I have come to admire, appreciate Ivan Fischer as a VERY talented, capable conductor who really seems to understand the music he records (I watched some interviews on the Youtube). With the Budapest Festival Orchestra here, the takes the Tchaikovsky 6th Symphony and makes a great performance of it. It is subtitled the "Pathetique" sp? but in Russian it means Passionate. The author conducted its debut himself 9 days before his untimely death.
It is paired here with the hauntingly beautiful Borodin Polovtsian Dances with the Czech Philharmonic choir. This is the one Rimsky-Korsokov finished off for him, after his death, they were all comrades or fellow musicians/writers.
This is the melody that was turned into "Stranger in Paradise" you will recognize it instantly.
Beautiful music all. Well done. And makes me once again love my surround sound system, just beats the socks off POS.
This is good, solid stuff, 5 star rating on Amazon, but I will not rave about it. I like it, and recommend it, but not the highest recommendation. REALLY good, but not great.
Perhaps as I get more familiar with the music, I might rate it higher. The recorded sound is first rate. If you really like this music, I don't doubt this is the version to get.
God Bless,
Wayne

Damn, it is a long time until football starts again!!!!
And now that the NBA Finals are over, what is a poor boy to do?
My cold brew coffee is going great, loving it, got that pretty much down now.
So I am turning my hand to fermenting veggies. Yeah, that's right, that is how little important stuff I have to do.
Making sauerkraut, kimchi, some awesome salsa, some butt kickin' hot jalapeno sauce and face meltin' red pepper sauce.
Bringing my daughter from Nashville over here for 2 weeks in a coupla weeks. She hasn't been to Thailand in a long time now.
And she has turned Vegenarian or something, so this will HOPEFULLY give me something to feed her.
Had to find a temperature solution in the hot weather over here, but I put a cooler under the stairs, put ice water in it to keep the jars around 65-70 of your degrees. Working swell, but a lot of trouble. Still more things to try and ferment.
Any questions, just axe me, I am getting this.
Or not, I am just a pioneer from the old west, trying to live off the land.
God Bless,
Wayne

C'mon over for Margaritas, I can't drink em any more, but I can still make em and serve em to friends.
