Yeah, I adopted the Longhorns too, though being from Okla originally, I can still cheer for OU as well, but don't tell my son-in-law in Austin. My Alma mater is U of Wyoming, and we have not had much to cheer about in football for many years.
I got to go to Charlie Strong's last game as UT coach. All anybody could talk about was how great a guy he is and yet, how he had to go so they could get the coach from UH.
My SIL did take me to games when Vince Young was playing as well as Colt McCoy. Great fun times!!!!

Wayne, Hopefully will have some good college ball this year.

Anthem, oh yah, too bebop-y. Tried a Gato Barbieri LP from the same batch and had to take it off. I'd like to see the sheet music for that! :-)

Been on a blues kick for a couple of weeks due to a poker buddy who is enlightening me and helping me enlarge my collection in this genre.

Listened to Junior Wells' Chicago Blues Band With Buddy Guy ‎– Hoodoo Man Blues album and a few others lately. Sounds great!

Also a favorite is "In Session" with Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan
Also B.B.King "Blues on the Bayou"
Also Susan Tedeschi "Just Won't Burn"

I like Tedeschi in her band better than when she teams up with her husband. Not sure why as both should be terrific. Seen them in concert a couple of times and it's great stuff (at least it was a while ago).

I have In Session on SACD so trying to avoid buying it on LP too :-). Will fire up the SACD soon now that you've reminded me of it!
