I should clarify what I said above. Balanced is for those cases where you have a low signal-to-noise ratio. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think it was developed to deal with really low-level microphone signals in longer cables where noise was a real problem.

I guess we need another A/B blind test here. I'll add it to the list.

Charlie might as well give it a AB test. They made a big improvement with my 600ms and have heard they were designed for xlr use
