Disclosure:

I also have two dedicated 10A lines form the breaker hooking up to PS audio receptacles.

I am feeding USB to my DAC via Wireworld Silverstarlight USB from Sonore Ultrarendu powered by Sbooster linear power supply.

Also, I am using modified FMC's from SotM to break the electrical noise from my modem/router combo. Over at CA, one of the engineers there has discovered that Ethernet transformers do not provide perfect galvanic isolation, there is a big difference in their ability to block high vs. low impedance noise from SMPS power supplies normally powering modems/switches/routers.

CXP, you made me look again, this time from your comments regarding the PS Audio Directstream DAC, which I found only handles DSD up to 256 before it goes with DoP.
And it too is only POS.
So, once again, sadly it will not work for me.
But thanks for all your info.
Sounds like you have a heck of a setup!!!!!
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

DoP is ineresting. The designers say there is no SQ penalty for doing this. Basically the DoP is a way of tricking the system for compatibility. The Bit depth is still 1 bit DSD but it encapsulates them into 24 bit chunks for the DAC. When they are unraveled they still appear to be the same as native DSD. Basically its like sending over data in packets/bins that are 24 bits instead of 1bit and then it opens all of the bins.

+1

In fact, some rather educated folks in the digital space (i.e. a few people with rather impressive understanding of all things digital) have advised me that in the case of Oppo, while the filter preferences are merely "apodizing", the theoretical best one to chose is linear phase slow.
