Hi Gang,

I have just downloaded and installed the free version of Fidelizer into my dedicated-to-music Toshiba Windows-10 Laptop. This PC has a 3 TB external HD attached, in which are stored all of my 26,000 + music files, almost all lossless FLAC. I have a minimum of other software installed on this PC because it has no other function than to stream music. I am running MusicBee as my music management and streaming software.

When I installed Fidelizer, I selected the option which allowed Fidelizer to recognize and "customize" MusicBee. All is working well after the installation and customization operations performed by Fidelizer. I believe I can hear sound improvement, but it may be "The Placebo Effect".

If any of you have experience with Fidelizer, please offer comments.

I am also interested to read comments regarding the value to be obtained by purchasing the upgraded PRO Version of Fidelizer - approximately $65.00 US.

Thanks,

Art

Can't talk about fidelizer specifically however I bought his Nimitra server
and his Nikola power supply. One of the best upgrades I made to my system. In fact it replaced a $2500 Sony network player.

His service is incredible so he will look after you
Triton Ref Pair, Supercenter Ref, SS 3's surr

Hi Steveo,

Thanks for your comment. While I was on his website, I took a very brief look at the server. I am not likely to purchase any such device because I enjoy the ability to sit in my PLP and remotely control my music library and playback by using Windows Remote Desktop from my business laptop sitting in my lap to control my music laptop which sits halfway across the room.

However, it is good to learn that he cares about his customers.

Hey Art,

I went to the Fidelizer website, and it looks like it's primary function is to reduce the number of non-audio processes that are running on the computer. Is this how you understand it? I can't see how it can improve the quality of the music files, but it sounds like it could eliminate or reduce system-caused interrupts.

It also mentions improving Tidal. I stream Tidal on my Oppo 105, and I do have lockups with the Oppo. But that thing has always had firmware stability problems, and it's not a PC based OS.

Have you had interruptions on your music laptop while playing before Fidelizer? Have you noticed a difference in continuity?

Hi Charlie,

Very rarely have I experienced interruptions during playback. So, I don't expect an impact in this area from Fidelizer. However, long before incorporating Fidelizer, when I first dedicated my older Toshiba to music, I deleted or disabled every program I considered to be non-essential to either streaming music or for obtaining system updates if I needed them. Very few programs run in the background on this computer, so there is relatively little opportunity for conflicts.

Fidelizer did not offer a report to provide details about what, if any, changes it made to optimize things - so I really don't know if it actually made any changes. However, as I said previously, I believe I can hear a difference in clarity or crispness of sound.

I believe that it has improved the sound, so I am pleased - placebo effect or not as the case may be.

Best,

Art

I have NO idea what these products do, nor why you would need them. BUT I do know that here in Thailand we audiophiles are quite proud of our Thai guy who has made these products, and gotten so much international attention for them. His website is great looking to me, people I know who have talked to him, dealt with him are VERY impressed with his English (most unheard of to have a good English speaker here in Thailand) and after sales service.
Nearly everyone agrees that Nimitra and Fidelizer are good stuff. So glad you are enjoying using them. He even does mods on portable equipment.
Good to hear his stuff mentioned on our forum.
God Bless,
Wayne
