I listened to TritonCinema Two and loved it. However, I suspect my SO will find the way the towers look unacceptable. SuperCinema 50 looks much nicer, but unfortunately, I cannot find it at a nearby dealer, and can't listen to it.

So my question is, how similar in terms of sound is SuperCinema 50 to the TritonCinema Two, especially for stereo? (I imagine for surround the differences will be similar or less.) Judging from just specs, aside from two subs vs. one and the slimmer size, the only difference is "Two 7" x 10" quadratic planar infrasonic radiators" vs. "Two 4" x 7" quadratic planar low frequency radiators" -- how much difference does that make? My room size is 20x20x10, and I will be listening to the speakers at moderate volume. Thanks!

Are you sure? My SO really like the look of the Tritons. :)

Sorry to hear your local dealer does not have the 50's, MOST of our dealers do have them on demo. Anyway, in answer to your question, a pair of SuperSat 50's and a pair of ForceField 4 subwoofers is basically the equivalent of a pair of the Triton Twos. Integration of bass is not done for you so it is a lot harder to get it "perfect", and the SuperSat's would probably need to be on stands out into the room a bit to sound their audiophile-best. Of course, they can be mounted on the walls to be totally unobtrusive.

The subs should be in the front of the room, with a high-pass crossover setting of 100-120 Hz (or utilizing the in/out speaker level high-pass of the ForceField Sub). One sub, located in the front center of the room, would of course work nicely (but not be the equivalent of the two subwoofer Triton Two pair).

Hope this helps.
