Many thanks to the responses, I think that I'll have to go with the T Refs and build around those. That way I'll never have to wonder "what if" must say that it's also very tempting to just do 4 T1's, dual SB16's, XXL SC, Marantz & Emotiva pre/pro, 75 inch Sony Bravia X900E, Oppo 4k BDP, that should help cure a broken heart? Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Hey, Rick,
Wise decision!!!! I agree with your logic, the TRefs would mean never having to second guess, what if?
Also agree with 4 TOnes and all, that would be a killer system!!!!!!
Living well is the best revenge!!!!!
Sorry, sounds like you have been through some tough times. Praying for you.
We have all been there too, sometimes life is HARD!!!!!
But have a great Thanksgiving, because when you think about it and count your blessings, we all do have a LOT to be thankful for!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Thank you Wayne, can easily tell that the world needs more people like you in it. Not to get too far off topic from home theater talk lol, but my heart situation is two fold. Broken from a lost love and also in the physical since that I had a major heart attack, and a 19 hour open heart surgery after that loss. But I'm still here and know that the big man upstairs has a plan and something great waiting for me. Back on topic though, in your opinion would the two T-refs without separate subs and T-5's as rears, be immensely better than 4 T-1's and two sb-16's? Not just sound I'm after but aesthetically it would be more appealing to have 4 of the same size speakers. Sound and performance trumps looks of course. Your thoughts?

WOW, Rick, thanks for the very kind words, I don't deserve them. But I know better how to pray now, that is 2X tough!!!!!

Home theater wise, take this with a grain of salt because I have not had the pleasure of hearing the TRefs. To me, the 4 TOnes with two subs and the SC XXL in the center would be VERY hard to beat in terms of all around home theater performance.
BUT I like to scare my wife and neighbors into thinking our house is tearing apart and about to fall down when I play a movie with lots of those earth-quaking sounds in it.
It could be that the bass in the TRefs is plenty for you, it probably is enough for any sane person, ha ha!!!!
The TOnes give lots of bass, also the T 2s, so I only have one SB16 in support, but my room is not that large either.
Hope this helps and all the best to you recovery wise, in EVERY way!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne
