I have a similar system (7.2 system) without full-range surrounds:

Marantz sr7007 (7 channel a/v receiver)
Marantz mm7025 (125 wpc, 2 channel amp powering front L/R)
Front L/R - triton sevens
Center, surround L/R - SuperSat 50c, SuperSat 50's
Surround rear L/R - SuperSat 3's
Two sealed velodyne subwoofers - placed horizontally opposed in front right & rear left corners.

Short story - I don't have full-range surrounds, yet most folks tell me that movies easily sound better than theater quality. I play music in 2.1 channnel mode only, so the lack of full range surrounds is moot. If I ever were to move the T7's to surround duty, it would only be because I wanted to upgrade the front L/R channels - not because I feel that I'm missing anything. It really is a boxless audio experience, and having SuperSat 50's/3's gives me a lot more flexibility in speaker placemet (aka hiding them).
Triton Two front L/R
SuperSat 50c center
Triton Seven surround L/R
SuperSat 50 surround rear L/R
AVR Arcam AVR-21
Amp Marantz mm7025
Velodyne optimum 10” sealed, back left corner
SuperSub X front-right corner

Hi Timecop, that should be a sweet sounding system!!!! Well done!!!!
I am just an advocate for full range speakers in the surround because I love surround sound music, and the blu-rays, concerts, SACDs and DVD-As that I get often have a full range signal to the surrounds. It sounds wonderful on towers.
God Bless,
Wayne

Got an incredible deal on a Paradigm Sub 15 in piano black gloss ($2300 off). So I wasn't counting on replacing a sub. I don't trust the other one now.

Was all set to step up to the Anthem this week.

Will probably get the PBK room correction that allows the sub to be calibrated to the room, similar to ARC. I cannot wait to blend it with my T2's and not only have sublime sound but excellent bass coverage throughout my room.

Thanks. GET family, for everything.

Just an update....I bought an Anthem Mrx 720 one month ago tomorrow and the GET family was right. It has made a big difference in my sound. ARC is amazing.

I am now looking at replacing my surrounds in the future.

Wondering if there is going to be a succesor to the SS3's as I don't want to put holes in my ceilng for my Atmos set up.

No plans for any changes in the SuperSats at this time.
