tyson ... I think maybe you came to the wrong place to ask that question :)

I see you also asked it on AVS Forum, better choice, at least you'll get opinions that aren't totally one-sided (just mostly one-sided).

Hey Tyson...let us know how YOUR new Triton 1's sound. If you can tear yourself away, write a short review. Most people start with WOW...JUST WOW and end with WOW...JUST WOW!! ;)
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

I agree with the moderator, we're going to be biased here, I can tell you my experience with Def Tech during my search for my equipment was this: they we similar to Golden Ear in sound stage but did not have the clarity or nearly of sweet of highs. That said, I preferred the muddied sound of the def techs to the laser sharp piercing sound that B&W in that price range produced, even for music due to the listening fatigue and lack of bass.

the Triton 1s are extremely well reviewed and you can read about them on Stereophile.com, audioholics.com, AVSforum, ect. I have Triton 2s and the thunderous bass, the clear and easy listening highs, massive sound stage, and separation of the varied sound really makes watching movies an experience... But again, were biased, get an less partial opinion on some of those sites I listed. :)
Current System:

Projector - Sony VPL-HW55ES
AVR - Onkyo TX-NR838
Fronts - Triton 2s
Center - SuperCenterXL
Surrounds - SuperSat 3s

Ask me about espresso, I'm an expert at that... I'm just learning about audio!
