I have similar questions as addressed in this thread but I didn't want to hijack: www.goldenear.com/forum/Buying-Advice/98...speaker-options#1028

Anyways, I've attached a picture of the room with dimensions and location of the TV. I've also shown where I want to put the speakers to keep my wife from saying the speakers are taking up too much space. You can see that the rears are placed pretty far from the couch. So… I'm thinking of going with T2s for the fronts, and T3s for the rears, and the Aon3 for the centre (though may be a 50C is enough, but I think the Aon3 looks better and matches my furniture better).

I'm thinking of driving the speakers with an Anthem MRX 700.

Any comments or advice? should I go with Aon3 or 50C for the center? Will the T3s be good for the rears? Thanks.

Triton Threes in the rear would be excellent (overkill maybe, but fun). Should be no difference between an Aon 3 and a SuperSat 50C as center in a TritonCinema if the crossover is set appropriately for each.

Thanks. I'll go with the Aon3 since I like to place it on a cabinet under the TV instead of wall mounting it (I don't like putting holes in walls :) ). Is there a particular height required for the Aon 3?

BTW, now I'm thinking of going with a Pioneer Elite SC-68 receiver... any thoughts on that? It's great according to this: www.hometheater.com/content/pioneer-elite-sc-68-av-receiver

Tweeter at ear level for fronts, or aimed at ear level. That receiver will be fine.

bmac,
Sounds like an awesome system you are putting together. Please tell us how it sounds!!!! Very interested.
Just a comment, I am still waiting to try and get some T2s and maybe Aon3s in Thailand. But I have heard them 3 times now. GEs are very revealing. They will show off the BEST that you can feed them upstream from what I heard. I heard the T2s with Jeff Rowlands - Great. Then with Unison tubes - even BETTER. Then with an Onkyo reciever - NOT so good!!!!
Just my 2 cents.
God bless the child that's got his own.
