i just bought my soundbar, ss3, and forcefield 3, now it's time to setup. My soundbar will be wall mounted underneath my TV, the sub will be underneith the soundbar off to the right a bit. My dealer told me to cross everthing over at 100hz, but reviews I read said 120hz. What's the recommended value?

Also, I have an Onkyo PR-SC886 do you recommend running Audesy?

Thanks for your purchase. We do recommend 120Hz as a general starting point, but 100 Hz will work fine (we used 100Hz at our last trade show demo because the receiver only had the choice of 100 or 150Hz and it sounded spectacular). Higher crossover setting will allow for a slightly higher playing ceiling in a big room.

I don't recommend Audyssey, do a manual setup first and if you are happy with the sound after a few days of playing time then don't run the Audyssey auto setup. If you are curious to compare and it is easy to turn off (we have heard that is not always the case) if you don't like the results, then by all means, give it a try.

I just got my sound bar. I also go a Marantz NR1640. Where are the crossover settings? On the bar? On The amp?

Also, what should my sub-woofer be set at. It is not a Goldenear, but one I already had.
