I've been trying to figure out placement for SuperSat 50's and it has been a challenge. I can only separate the front speakers 5' apart and read another post for the SS 3 indicating this is not good when my listening position is 12-13' away. How do the SS 50s at this 12' distance compare to the 3D Array? Additionally I'm having trouble figuring out the wall mounting for the SS 50s. The facets on the wall are not symmetrical and I think I'd need some kind of special bracket. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think there are two different questions here - first off, if you can only separate the L/R 5 feet and you are going to sit 12 feet away, I would certainly recommend you consider the 3D Array as a better alternative, it will produce a much bigger sound for your front soundstage (the sonic impression of the front L/R speakers being appropriately far apart).

Regarding mounting the SuperSat 50's, it sounds like you should use the threaded inserts on the back along with a universal speaker mounting bracket to position the speakers slightly off the wall and angle them as needed.

Can I put the 3D Array under the TV on the top shelf of a TV stand? Does it have feet, a cradle or some adjustment to aim it up slightly so it isn't playing to my knees?

Thanks again for your help.

Yes, that's certainly the most common placement. The 3D Array has adjustable back support legs that allow you to tilt-back so it is properly aimed up at ear height. Make sure to put it as far forward on the shelf as possible to prevent reflections and get the best fidelity.
