Hello!

Do the back boxes on the SPS can improve sound or are they just to limit sound transmission?
I have 10" behind the speakers which are filled with insulation

Thanks

Hi polofemilimc46, The optional back boxes for the Invisa SPS in-wall speakers are designed to limit the sound transmission to nearby rooms in your home. These back boxes would not improve the sound quality produced by the speakers. Ultimately, the back boxes will limit or reduce the amount of bass produced by the speakers. Happy listening!
