If the room is 15 ft deep and the listening position is in the center, I.E. 7.5 ft from front or back walls, then if the speakers are 2 ft plus 3 ft in from those walls, then the total distance of those speakers from the listening position is 15-5 or 10 lateral ft.

Are you measuring ceiling to listening position diagonal distance?

Maybe we should wait for Moderator Dude opinion.

Rick

No the room is 17 deep and I will be sitting at ten feet with 7 feet to the rear and Atmos will be 2-3 feet from rear wall and 4 feet from listening area and in the front the Atmos fronts will be 2 feet from front wall and about 8 feet from listening area sofa

In this measurement I'm not measuring the distance from ceiling to listening in doing lateral not top to bottom if that was the case I would he adding 10 extra feet to equation

Hi again GoldenKnight007

Those are longer distances than I imagined. For whatever it's worth, I have a pair of Invisa 525's located in the kitchen ceiling area on Zone 2, for music only, 9 ft ceiling. Sitting even 12 or more ft away, the music source is still discernible as from those ceiling speakers.

At your distances and ceiling height, would those 650's still "present" as a height envelope in Atmos configuration is a good question. They certainly have the power handling and "throw" to do the job, with appropriate SL gain, and distance settings.

I defer to others who have, or tried set-ups closer to your distances. IMO having an Atmos height set-up is worth going after, even if not textbook perfect. Most of us have to make some concessions to the realities of our room configuration.

Thanks for all the detail. Good luck and hope there's a way to make it work for you.

True the rears are more than fine as they are 4-5 feet away from ear and heard you can angle the tweeter , the fronts are about 7 away and yes that's not counting the height distance which adds 10 to the equation ..so 17 away front and 14 away rear ..
