Thanks for the quick reply. I only wish most business understood how important this is to a lot of people. Even
a reply saying you will get back later means everything!

Ok, back to the mount. I'm sorry but I can bring myself to disfigure these works of art in any way. I spent a week teaching
my cat that they were evil and the water God would mist him if he got curious around them ;-)

I think I might build my own, they have a bigger footprint than most economical stands will handle. I don't mind paying a premium
for sound, but I draw the line at expensive stands.

Thanks again,

Joe

Hey moderator, I'm one of the weird one's...I opened mine. If trying to hang on sheet rock, it would be advisable to use a stud locator. I have walls with a plaster/steel mesh, i used Auger Anchors...my Aon 3's have been up on the wall for about a year...no problems, yet.

Joe Peach, funny about the cat!!!

Good pics Bro Anthem, and I can imagine the Aons actually sound quite good mounted like that. Well, the just simply sound good anywhere the sound can get out and around to the ears.
I like the walls. Did you do that? Are the wires in the walls, or is that a wire I see beside the GF clock?
I used to have a towel rack like that one pictured. Clothes rack, towel rack.
Ha ha
God Bless,
Wayne

Nice setup anthem, not weird, just unusual.

Let's go down the rabbit hole a little further.

I remember reading that the height of these speakers (Aon 3) should be around 30 inches.

I see anthem has them about 6 feet high.

Should I anchor 2 pegs at different heights for standing or sitting listening?

Sorry for all the nitpicking.

Joe

Eat A Peach Joe, don't take that pill and go down that rabbit hole. Ha ha
Good question, but IF I am not mistaken, Bro Anthem has his Aons mounted high like that as surround speakers in a surround sound home theater system.
You are right for up front, front left and right speakers, try to get your Aons HVFR (tweeter) at your ear level at your primary listening position. And they should sound great.
That might well be on a 30" stand for you. More or less. And making your own stands is a great idea.
There is a thread on here from one member who did just that, actually his father fabricated them, IF I am not mistaken, and they look great.
There are other possibilities too, many things can be pressed into the battle at least temporarily. Bricks and cinder blocks or such.
A nice home entertainment piece of furniture that is wide enough to get the speakers far enough apart, MIGHT look nicer and be more cost effective than dedicated speaker stands. Here is a pic.
Just a suggestion, I hope you find or make exactly what works best for you and your family.
Happy listening, God Bless,
Wayne
