I have experimented with my SuperSats 60s and I had to drop my crossovers way below 100 and it made a world of difference on my end.

I have 50Cs for sides and surrounds, and haven't noticed any difference when I ran a test using full-range signal vs. 100Hz crossover. I know that these aren't to be used in full range, but I ran the test to see how they sounded when fed with a bit of power to see how they handled it. They was no breakup or distortion, even at fairly loud levels, upwards to 100 watts.

That said, what crossover level did you select? Is 80Hz safe to use on these?
7.1 today, moving to 7.1.4 tomorrow

They will sound great more full range, the problem is they have no power handling below the suggested crossover frequency so you will fry the mid/bass drivers with the first big dose of full power low frequencies. You can get away with an 80 Hz crossover in a surround (effects) channels application, within reason, if you prefer. For main channels, we'd suggest sticking with the 100-120 Hz crossover point.

It's almost two years since I started this topic. Is there a chance that we will see bigger and better SuperSat speakers anytime soon?
