I have ordered 3 of the SuperSat 3s. Two for left and right front and one for center. I have also ordered the Forcefield 4 sub to compliment the 3s. My TV stand is 61" wide. The L & R will be placed as far toward each end as possible. The center channel will be placed in the center of course. My only concern is that it will sitting on top of a Pansat power conditioner/surge suppressor. Is the 3c shielded? Will this placement affect the performance? The speakers should arrive at the dealer this Tuesday so I will be installing these that evening. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

The SuperSat speakers are not shielded, but I do not see how that relates to your power conditioner. Shielding is an issue relevant to close placement to a CRT TV.

Regarding your installation, the L/R only 5 feet apart would suggest a seating distance of about 5-6 feet for best sound.

Thanks. I was just concerned placing the center channel on top of an power supply may affect the speaker performance. I am glad to hear it will not. I am sitting about 13 feet away from the front speakers. What do you suggest the distance between the L/R to be?

Typically distance apart = distance from speakers (and no less than 3/4 of this), so about 10-13 feet would be best.

Thanks for the quick response. I have one more question please. What size speaker wire do you recommend for the SuperSat 3s?

Depends on distance, typically 14 gauge is adequate for most situations.
