Will Triton 7 + FF5 performance be close to or equal to Triton Two? Is any suggestions for setting this 2.1 combination? I have a Emotiva XSP-1 preamplifier, it can provide 2.1 control.

Hi, dsdd

I can't answer how close to Triton 2's the 7's with FF5 combination will be, but it should sound great!

Re crossover for the 7's with them set as Small, sub on, I'd try in the 60-80 HZ range and see what sounds best to you.

Happy listening!

Hi dsdd, and welcome here!!!!
Good question, and I am only guessing, I have heard both in my home but never done a direct comparison.
But I think you could say the T 2s and T 7s with FF5 is an apples to apples comparison, not too far off.
I use the 7s and 5 in my living room for background music, and like it, but my go to system is in my home theater.
Rick is right on about how to set up the pairing.
Let us know what you discover, and ask any other questions you might have.
And ENJOY, this hobby is fun!!!! It should sound GREAT!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Triton Sevens and TWO Forcefield subs, properly setup, should get pretty close to the sonic performance of the original Triton Twos and will probably play a bit louder.

I went from T7’s +2 subs to T2’s (+2 subs) and the latter is a significant improvement.
Triton Two front L/R
SuperSat 50c center
Triton Seven surround L/R
SuperSat 50 surround rear L/R
AVR Arcam AVR-21
Amp Marantz mm7025
Velodyne optimum 10” sealed, back left corner
SuperSub X front-right corner
