As a happy owner of the T-Ref, I've very interested in the BRX. A couple of questions if I may:

- Are these speakers best suited in a near-field/computer desktop listening setup, or a traditional stereo setup where the speakers are placed on stands and listener sits 8 or 10 plus feet away from the speakers? In which scenario will the BRX perform the best?

- How far away from the wall do they need to be placed?

I'm really exicted about the BRX and cannot wait to have a listen!

BRX are designed as a traditional bookshelf speaker designed for Stereo or home theater set-up and suited for most listening spaces.
BRX can be placed relatively close to the back wall in most cases, however every room is different.
BRX will work nicely as a near field monitor as well, as long as the listener isn't too close to the speaker.
They will work beautifully well with your Reference.
Happy Friday, hope all is well, stay safe and have a great weekend!

Thank you for the info - that is very helpful.

Only wish I could audition the BRX. That would make the decision so much easier without relying too much on reviews.

Hope you have a great weekend as well! : )

Does GE make a stand for the BRX or is there one that they recommend?

When selecting stands for the BRXs, we recommend using stands that are 30" high. This places their tweeters at the ideal listening height. GoldenEar Technology does not currently make stands for the BRXs, however, the Sanus SF30 stands would be a good choice.

Thank you. I’ve read in several reviews that Golden Ear suggests 30” high stands but was hoping GE made their own since I’m not a fan of the SF30 stands. I would prefer a stand that gives me the ability to attach the speaker to the stand and use IsoAccoustic feet to dampen vibration on wood floors.
