Wow, you wouldn't believe my shock.

I literally just came home after listening to the new active LS50's at a shop and thought, this is great but I can't listen to non-Heil type tweeters ever again, after enjoying my Triton One's so much. The KEF's tweeters (and most others) are no match for the GoldenEar tweeters.

So I jumped on the forum here immediately after getting home and noticed this announcement!!

Some questions:

1. Do the analogue inputs convert to digital or can this be by-passed if someone wanted to try a DAC with variable volume?

2. Will you be sending a pair to Roon Labs for "Roon Ready" certification? I believe they don't charge manufacturers for Roon Ready certification.

3. What sample rates does the USB input take? 32bit/384kHz? and DSD128 support?

Cheers Gents!

Em84, I am with you 1000% about the HVFR tweeters we love from GEt. Other tweeters just do not do it nearly as well.
Even some remarkable ones from KEF and Magico. Don't cut it.
I too have some of the same questions you do. Thanks for asking them.

Also, someone said and I want to second it, you need balanced inputs for long speaker runs to the back of the home theater for a GREAT surround speaker. Just my opinion, FWIW.
God Bless,
Wayne

1. There's a digital (optical) input to skip the ADC

2. Google does not allow Roon, but I believe Roon can be used through any of the available other wifi connections, like Airplay

3. That's not an input

There would be no way to control the playback of files on a USB, just put the same files on a network drive and play them through the digital input from your existing system, or use the streaming Chromecast playback.

This wireless active technology is the beginning of the end for expensive, high quality analog speaker cables. Soon, they will be no more. And GET will eventually be able to throw in room correction.

The times they are a changin'.
