Face value response.... either one of those two is going to work as a three channel amp.... if I had to choose one or the other, I would take the Anthem.... this coming from an owner of some Emotiva gear, but having no personal experience with Anthem gear...

This is a tough one. If you like to listen to movies with lots of volume, I'd choose the Emotiva for the 450 watts of added headroom. The DR3 has gotten some really good reviews.

On the other hand, if you don't listen at bone jarring levels, I'd pick the Anthem...it also is a better looking unit.

I own 3 amplifiers from Emotiva...great Amps. I also own 2 Anthem Amps & 2 Anthem processors...Great equipment.

Anthem MCA-325 or Emotiva DR3...you can't go wrong with either one.
