I’m looking at the Supercenter X as my start into the GoldenEar family. Ideally I’d like to place it on a shelf of my Chameleon rack. Unfortunately the inside width of each shelf is 19.5” so just a little too narrow for the specified 20” width of the SCX. Is it possible to remove the end caps and run the speaker without them? Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Mcmike, It is quite acceptable to remove the end caps on the SuperCenter X center speaker. In a real sense, these end caps are only used for cosmetic purposes. Just firmly pull these end caps off the side of the SuperCenter X's cabinet. Happy Listening!
