So just a day ago or so now, GE announced the Invisa SP652, with two HVFR Tweeters on a single point.

So I'll just come straight out with it and ask, who is this for and in what conditions (Atmos), can it replace the task of the 650 or 7000?

Thanks
Po

Hey, Po. I'm guessing whole home music distribution system for in ceiling speakers but there could certainly be other uses. It may turn out to be very useful for sound dispersion in an Atmos setup... I think we'll need our Moderator to provide a little marketing info on this one. I'm curious how it will be connected to a system. Looks like an interesting solution. I hope you're enjoying your system and the Summer season.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Thanks T Cobe,

I am hoping for the marketing material also. Also to shine a little more light on atmos setups etc.

Thanks
Po

While we haven't scratched the surface of uses for the SP652, we do expect many to be used in places where there isn't room for two separate speakers (bathrooms) or anywhere where you might be and want both channels nearby, say over the kitchen sink, island and cooking areas.

Until it's been tried, I'm not sure about Atmos applications.

I could see such a speaker in an amplified enclosure and offer Airplay and iPhone docks of sorts :P
