Jim,
The only restriction that I could see would be placing the speakers too close to the cabinets and having the passive radiators rattle some of the equipment! Since these are primarily front firing speakers their placement isn't any more difficult than any other conventional loudspeaker.

One last thing in regards to the volume or "crank it", I've always said if you want your car to go 150, you need to buy enough engine to do it from the beginning. Same thing goes for speakers!

Take care!

Scott

PS: I wish I had such insightful customers as you.

PPS: For your vinyl room, you should audition the Aon 3s. These are ridiculous for their size and price.

Simple: BIG speakers, BIGGER amps, and really good line conditioners!!!

Take care!

Scott (and all)

Conclusion? I bought the triton twos, have them home, breaking them in, and am currently wrestling with bass management issues with my system (maybe I will address that in another post).

In the showroom, with their equipment, with my CD's, I really could not tell that much difference, except for maybe the twos sounded "fuller" and the threes more "balanced". Maybe that is a good testimony to how good the threes are for the money, how good of a job they did in their design.

But, the value of the two's at $3K, and not wanting to wonder if I "should have" the twos becaume the choice. Plus, the dealer had them in stock (but not the threes), so I could take them home ;)

They went into the main listening/theatre room, and the Klipsch went up stairs to the Vinyl listening room, and it's a win win, both rooms now sound better.

Thanks for all of your help, and thanks GE for a great product!
