Headphones would be huge. Its the new gateway to hi-fi. Back in the day (before my time even, up until before the .com crash) entry level systems were the gateway to high end system. Now "head-fi" is the gateway.

Since we are playing the wishful thinking game, I couldn't resist!

Items that would be awesome from most to least realistic:
  • A durable outdoor speaker
  • A portable blue tooth speaker. Maybe incorporating the cross-talk technology from the soundbars
  • Fabric, plastic base, or plastic cap color options in chic white, medium gray, or red
  • A module to place ontop of existing speakers, not for Atmos, but for Auro 3D
  • A triton 4; The powered equivalent of the Triton 5. AKA a baby Triton 1, like the Triton 3 is a baby Triton 2
  • An GE upgrade plan so those of us itching to upgrade our GE products can do so easily and cheaply while still being dealer oriented. :silly:

All great ideas, Dark! I've thought about several of those as well. Thanks for chiming in.

Along the upgrade line, I'd like to see balanced crossovers as an available upgrade with dealer install. I think my SCXL and Aon3s sound great, but the balanced crossovers in the T1s, T5s, and SCXXL seem to be on another level.

I wonder what my T1s would look like in fire engine red... :)

Cheers,

T Cobe

Would be really great, rather than releasing a new V2 of the older models. Not so sure about dealer install though, that could become problematic. Maybe an upgrade trade-in? Traded in speakers could be upgraded with the new crossover and then made available for the next trade-in?

As nice as it would be, I cannot imagine any upgrade path being financially doable for GoldenEar.

Interesting and fun speculations, all!

My problem would be: What to do with more GE Speakers? I could add another pair of SuperSat 3Cs to my Upper Surround Group, in place of my existing Side Surround Advents. Or, I could add another pair of Triton Sevens in place of my treasured legacy Altec-Lansing Bolero speakers as Lower Surround Sides. The SuperSat 3Cs are a more likely next acquisition.

Nonetheless, it will be fun to learn about the "Nice Surprises" mentioned by Mr. Moderator.

Happy Listening to all,

Art

More random fun speculation.

An MTM bookshelf. I do find it funny that in the Triton series, the lowest number is the flagship and in the Aon series the numbers run the other way. There's room for an Aon 1 but that would in theory be smaller than the Aon 2 and 3. So maybe an Aon 4 MTM.

Other than that I'm not sure where there's a gap in GEt's Triton, Aon or Center speaker line. So maybe more in-wall / ceiling or more sat speakers? Same with subs. I'm not sure where I see a gap.

Getting into electronics would be interesting (2 ch... the R&D for processors / AVRs is too great for companies to just jump into and rebranding is not a value add to your customers IMO) but I'm not sure Sandy or anyone else at the company has that background.
