I got the opportunity to hear some TritonTwo's today and can only say that I was very impressed, but due to my girlfriend being in a hurry I did not get to spend as much time with them as I wanted or ask several questions that I had.

When they are connected to a receiver as simply left and right loud speakers, is the built in sub still self powered? I know that you can connect them in an LFE manner, but I only plan on connecting the speakers to an Emotiva 300 watt/channel amp and wanted to know if the built in amps will continue to power the subs or if the subs will then rely on external amp power if not in LFE mode?

Also (and I assume I already know the answer to this question, but do not want to rely on assumption here) each speaker contains an amplifier for its respective subs and it isn't a shared 1200w amplifier for both correct?

Thank you for any information that you can provide.

Thanks for your comments on the Triton Twos. I'll try to answer your questions below.
    - The preferred hook-up is speaker wires only, and yes, the bass section is still powered
    - Each Triton Two speaker contains a 1200 watt powered bass section
Hope this helps, thanks again for the comments and your interest in the GoldenEar products.
