I’m not familiar with the Danish Dana 980, but often we rate speakers relative to what we’ve become accustomed to. I’d encourage you to simply give the T2+’s additional playing time while not using the 980’s at all. Allow your brain to release what it thinks a speaker should sound like, and just experience the tritons.

To me, it sounds like you may be acsmed to elevated levels of mid-bass with less-pronounced mid/treble. I have the original T2’s, and I can certainly hear the difference in midrange of the T2+’s - where the latter provide additional clarity and detail. The originals sound a bit laid-back compared to the newer models to my ear, both are great.

Right now there are playing and I am not at home (-: For the rest of the week I will try to use them as much as possible.

But you are right. The speakers I am used to are a little laid back and voices sound very full. The Danas don't have the details and the stereo image is not so big.

I also think that most of the stereo image off the Tritons is happening to high up. I will try to tip the speakers forward.

Thanks
