Hats off to Sandy and Team GoldenEar!

A tiny sub that can be easily hidden will really fill a niche. An inert sub that can be placed inside cabinets is another huge plus! Gloss finish and size is very wife friendly. Size matters! My application would be a small but mighty sub I can tuck under my computer table. Questions:

What is the weight?

When will it be available?

Will it outperform the Forcefield 5? If so how many Forcefield 5's will it take to equal one Super Sub X ?

Is there any merit in the old thinking-smaller 8 inch woofers would be faster/tighter than the larger 12 inch woofers for music only purposes?

Is there a Super Sub XX dual 10 inchers on the way?

Many questions-Once again way to go GoldenEar.
So much music-so little time!

wweiss,

I believe I've read that the SuperSubX provides just a bit more output than the FF5. I agree, this sub will be extremely flexible and should meet even the most stringent WAF guidelines. I also wondered if there would be a 10" version as soon as I read that the SuperSubX was actually being developed before the XXL. Seems like an XL version in the 10" variety would round out the range quite nicely.

Cheers,

T Cobe

31 lbs
Spring 2016 (maybe early Summer)
Yes. Unclear right now, perhaps 3dB more at 25Hz (which is huge). Maybe 1.5 ForceField 5's, but still not the same.
Not really
XL. Yes, probably
