I agree 100% with the Moderator Dude that you have REALLY helped a lot to make this a better forum!!!
You are always well spoken and informative, I am thankful that you joined us here and are so active to write good stuff!
I find myself more busy than I thought would be possible in retirement. We live near the border between Thailand and Burma.
And this border is famous for human trafficking, women and children. We have joined a ministry which is dedicated to stopping this horrible trade, and getting involved here has meant I am much more busy than I thought I would be.
I always read the new postings on the forum, but do not always have time to respond.
Thankfully I nearly always find that you, Bro Anthem, Rick, Murphyslaw and others have already given great answers and advice.
I am thankful for that and can rest assured my comments are not really needed.
And I enjoy following your musical and movie adventures.
Austin, TX, you need to go to 6th St. for live music. Antone's on 5th St. is one of my favs, www.facebook.com/antonesnightclub
someone said it might be closed, so many places on or around 6th Street.
I usually try to catch Bob Schneider playing around there: www.bobschneider.com/home
He is awesome.
Tex-Mex food is to die for, any Chuys' or Pappasitos restaurants and a hundred more are great food!!!!
P. F. Changs for great Chinese. Amy's for great ice cream.
LOTS of great BBQ around there. Bacon Austin is supposed to be great: baconaustin.com/?page_id=38
Did I mention Tex-Mex???
Austin is a can't miss town since you like music. They try to be the live music capitol of the world.
Enjoy, God Bless,
Wayne

I admire and applaud you for taking an active role in combatting human trafficking there in Thailand. It's a horrible reality that this occurs far more than most people realize. While praiseworthy and desperately needed, I hope you and your family are not in harms way while helping others. A life of serving others is certainly a hard calling to ignore and I'm sure the blessings are returned to you and your family.
Thanks for the info on Austin as well. I have never been there but have been wanting to go for some time. I've heard a lot of great things. Hopefully I will get the chance this Winter when the sub-zero weather has gotten tiresome. I'll be looking for good food, music, and craft beer. It sounds like Austin is a great place for all of those.

And you deserve all the kind words I can throw your way!!!
I think you will love Austin. But you may have to be a bit open-minded. They have a campaign going on there for the past good number of years, the most successful campaign I have ever seen, called "Keep Austin Weird". And it is!!! Ha ha
And if you get tired of weird, San Antonio is not far and it is AWESOME too!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

I like weird. Portland, Oregon, has a similar philosophy and I love it there. As long as "weird" doesn't mean hipster. Austin seems pretty cool from what I've seen on multiple television programs. I have some friends in San Antonio, so we may head there as well. I'll definitely keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Be safe in your humanitarian efforts.
Cheers,

Wayne,
I really admire what you're doing. Politicians talk, but you're really DOING something. Good for you! God bless. Be safe.
Re Austin, we've been in TX for 12 years now, and Austin is truly a lively, fun city. Add the Bob Bullock museum, LBJ library, state capital buildings to the list of things worth seeing. And, if one REALLY wants to get immersed in music the annual SXSW music festival (South by Southwest) draws bands and people from all over. Next Festival is 3/11-20/16.
