$500.00 budget to connect the following in stereo needed. Zero need for surround.

Office Setup

Aon2 & FF3.

55" TV - Optical Output
Frontier FIOS TV Tuner
Computer - Optical output
Xbox One
Streaming wouldn't be bad.
USB wouldn't be bad.

At first I looked at the Sonos AMP, but limited connectivity.
Smaller the better.
Marantz is one I am looking at. But since I have been out of the audio arena for so long any suggestions of anything that might fit the need would be greatly appreciated.

I think you're on the right track with Marantz for that price point. Have you checked out Echo Audio/Hi Fi there in Portland? They have a lot of used inventory that moves through there as well as a number of new offerings. You may want to check them out if you haven't already.
